Aftershock returned to Cheers in Northglenn on May 8 for a show that marked an important new chapter for the band: the first official performance with lead guitarist Calvin Cohee.
Calvin joined Aftershock following an extensive search for a guitarist who could handle the band’s wide-ranging catalog, from classic rock and ’80s new wave to ’90s alternative and heavier material. After several auditions and rehearsals, he quickly proved to be a natural fit.
His debut at Cheers gave the band its first opportunity to introduce the new lineup to a live audience. Calvin stepped into a demanding setlist and brought the energy, versatility and stage presence needed to make the transition feel seamless.
The crowd at Cheers gave him a warm welcome, and the band settled into the new lineup more with every song. By the end of the night, it was clear that Calvin’s arrival had opened an exciting new chapter for Aftershock.

Thank you to Cheers for having us back, to everyone who came out to support the band and to Calvin for making his first Aftershock show such a memorable one.
We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to bringing this lineup to stages throughout Colorado.
