After Frank was sidelined by an injury, Aftershock began searching for a lead guitarist who could handle the band’s wide-ranging catalog while bringing the energy, feel and reliability our live shows demand.
We met and auditioned several talented Denver-area musicians, but Calvin Cohee quickly stood out.
Calvin began playing guitar as a teenager and was performing around Denver by age 18 with his first band, Resonance. He later played in original projects including My Own Iris and State of Babel and currently also performs with Yan Yez.
His versatility—from classic rock and ’80s new wave to heavier material—made him a natural fit for Aftershock. Calvin made his official debut with the band on May 8 at Cheers in Northglenn, beginning an exciting new chapter for the group.
Please join us in welcoming Calvin to Aftershock!
