05/05/2026 - Aftershock’s Prost Northglenn Debut Becomes a Poor Till Payday Reunion

Aftershock’s debut at Prost Brewing Company Northglenn was already shaping up to be a special afternoon. As part of Prost’s Maifest celebration on May 2, the band was set to perform four hours of live rock for an all-ages crowd.

Then the show became something much more meaningful.

Longtime friend and former Poor Till Payday guitarist Steve Field returned to Colorado for a one-time appearance with Aftershock. Steve had been a core member of Poor Till Payday, performing around Denver beginning in 2019. His final show with the band was at the Denver Hard Rock Cafe in February 2022, before he moved out of state.

Several months later, much of the Poor Till Payday lineup came together to form Aftershock. That made Steve’s return to the stage with his former bandmates a reunion more than four years in the making.

The appearance had been quietly planned behind the scenes for months, with Steve’s involvement kept as a surprise from some of his former bandmates. When he finally joined Aftershock onstage, it created one of the most memorable moments of the band’s year.

The weather was perfect, the turnout was outstanding, and the crowd included many friends, family members and familiar faces from both the Poor Till Payday and Aftershock years. The energy and support throughout the afternoon made the occasion feel even bigger than expected.

What began as Aftershock’s debut at Prost Northglenn became a celebration of friendship, shared musical history and the connections that remain long after the final notes of a show.

Thank you to Prost Brewing Company Northglenn for inviting us to be part of Maifest, to everyone who came out to support us and, most of all, to Steve Field for making the trip and helping create a day we will not forget.
