Aftershock had the pleasure of performing for the Heather Gardens community in Aurora on July 11, and the afternoon turned into one of the most rewarding private events of our summer.

Despite the heat, residents came out ready to enjoy the music, and it did not take long for the dance floor to fill. The crowd stayed engaged throughout the performance, singing along, dancing and showing that great rock music connects with every generation.

One of the most memorable parts of the day was seeing people ranging from their 50s into their 90s enjoying songs from across the decades. From classic rock favorites to ’80s and ’90s hits, the audience brought an incredible amount of energy and enthusiasm to the event.

The response following the show made the experience even more meaningful. We heard from attendees who appreciated hearing something different, and organizer Elaine shared that residents were already asking to have Aftershock return next year.

We are grateful to Elaine and the Heather Gardens staff for the invitation and hospitality, and to everyone who braved the warm weather to spend the afternoon dancing and rocking with us.

Heather Gardens made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and we hope this was the beginning of another great annual tradition.
